"Rosemere Presentation 21.11.12"

 
On Wednesday the 21st.of November,the Provincial Grand Master Bro. Peter Connolly visited the Rosemere
Cancer Foundation at the Royal Preston Hospital to present them with a cheque for £6700.
 
He was supported by Bro. Paul Snape, his Special
Representative, Bro. Stuart Cowburn, leader of the
Mark Ionic Charity  Group, together with
representatives from the Mark Lodges of Leyland and
Chorley and ladies of the Rosemere Lymphoma
Cancer Support Group.
 
The money was raised from the generous charity
donations by the members of Lawrence, New Temple,
Leyland and Aeon Mark Lodges and the Leyland and
Lawrence R.A.M. Lodges.

This large donation of £6700 would not have been
possible had it not been for a large “top up” grant
from the West Lancashire Mark Charity Fund.
 
This equipment is to support the work done by the
late W.Bro. David Clough Chairman of the Lymphoma
Cancer Support Group who was very active and
respected Mark Mason. The  equipment purchased to
aid the diagnosis of Bladder Cancer, by use of a
“State of the Art” Camera System with Narrow Band
Imaging for the Urology Dept.

Also provided are 10 Portable DVD Players for
Chemotherapy units at Preston, South Ribble,
Chorley, Morecambe Bay, Blackpool & the
Fylde Coast.
 
These DVD's will ensure that all patients have
relevant and quality information. They will cover the
majority of essential need to know information,and
will signpost to other places or resources that
may be of benefit.
